A number of recent hires at Apple suggest the company is looking to make further improvements to the Notification Center feature that debuted with the launch of iOS 5.

And here was I thinking they were going to leave it the same as it is forever.

Yes, I know this piece is about some of the people involved and their connections to Notifications on iOS, but the above statement is just stupid. Of course they’re looking to improve Notification Centre.

And another thing…just because Jean-Michael Cart did a video showing what he’d like to see in Notification Centre doesn’t mean he’s going to be working on overhauling it. He’s going to Apple as an intern. Do people really think Apple is going to hand off design and development of new features to an intern while all the existing designers just sit and watch? Clearly the guy is talented and that’s why Apple are offering him an internship but to assume he’s going to be working on Notification Centre or that his suggestions will be adopted is a giant leap. They may be, but it’s a pretty tenuous link to make
